What A To-Do I Was Almost a Welsh Jew

Mum and Dad pondered
Synagog on Saturday
Chapel on Sunday
The Weekend scrubbed out from Friday on wards

Bits cut off of willies
And christening robes looking silly

Then there were the holidays
Easter and Passover

Hanukkah and Christmas

Not to mention the food restrictions
No milk with meat
And fish and fowl instead of steak to chow
No bacon to eat!

Aio vey
It’s enough to give anyone a headache
Bioyo

Arguments with the inlaws
Arguments at school

They did what they had to do
And I grew up an English agnostic
See Already?
